Gopichand’s career has been a roller-coaster ride - from being launched as a lead to transforming himself as a capable villain and returning to solo-hero films with a bang. He has faced a lot of highs and lows in his eventful career, proving that he has it in him to move past the rough patches and emerge stronger. His next release after Seetimaarr is Pakka Commercial, directed by Maruthi.

In a media interaction ahead of the film’s release on July 1, Gopichand shared, “The film happened to me because of Vamsi (one of the producers) - he asked me to listen to a story by Maruthi. I asked him if he liked it, he said yes and we had a narration the very next day. Maruthi gave me a three hour narration for the first-half and I was curious to listen to the rest of it the same day. My response was a resounding yes.”

Maruthi apparently wanted to capture the energetic side to Gopichand in the film and the latter said, “When the script offers such great scope for humour, it’ll naturally bring the best out of me too. From what I know, I think I’ve done justice to the role.” Apart from his character, Gopichand was equally excited about the role that went to Raashi Khanna.

“Raashi is extremely talented and hasn’t got many films to prove her mettle. She made heads turn with her performance in the teaser and the film will be a blast,” he stated, while adding that Pakka Commercial ended his wait to associate with Allu Aravind’s banner Geetha Arts. “It took me a long time to work with you and I’m glad Pakka Commercial happened,” Gopichand told.

True to its title, the film would offer a perfect commercial treat for audiences - with the right mix of action, comedy and romance, he mentioned. “I’m a pakka commercial person in real life, I choose only films that have commercial potential,” Gopichand added on a light-hearted note.
