National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee, who plays a pivotal part in the film Gulmohar, shares that the story of the movie is relatable not only to the audience but also to his personal life.

Manoj stated, "I found that the story of Gulmohar resonates with the story of every household, even mine. My father built a house for his family with a lot of love and attention to detail, but all his children went to different cities to make their own living, and my parents were left alone in that house."

He further added that nowadays, he and his siblings have a formal relationship and meet once in a while in Delhi over dinner.

The Family Man-famed actor shared, "Everyone has become so busy with their work that no one has time for anyone, but as a family, we have been trying to meet at least once a month when I am in Delhi over dinner or lunch."

Gulmohar is an emotional family drama that revolves around the Batra family, their relationship between two generations, and how it changes with time. The story follows the family's 31-year-old house under a certain situation, and the members of the family decided to leave and relocate to a new city.

The film, directed by Rahul Chittella, also stars Amol Palekar, Simran, Suraj Sharma, Kaveri Seth, and Utsavi Jha, among others.

Sharmila Tagore is also returning to cinema after a 13-year gap. She was last seen in the Bollywood film Break Ke Baad, which featured Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan. A National Award-winning actress and a recipient of Padma Bhushan, she is known for her iconic performances in films like Aradhana, Safar, Amar Prem, Mausam, and Viruddh, among others.

Gulmohar is set to release on March 3 on Disney+ Hotstar.
