Gulshan Devaiah commissions an artist's work who wanted to pay a tribute to his iconic characters
The actor was last seen in the crime thriller ‘Dahaad’ as well as ‘8 AM Metro’

Those who know the seasoned actor Gulshan Devaiah will surely vouch for the fact that he has always been extremely vocal about lending a helping hand to various artists. This is something that practices it in his real life as well. So, when a caricature artist named Prasad Bhat, a Bengaluru based artist and founder of ‘Graphicurry’ reached out to him to pay a tribute to him as an actor, by caricaturing some of his iconic characters, Gulshan Devaiah could not accept it for free. Touched by the heartfelt gesture, Gulshan Devaiah went onto commission the work from the artist.
The said artist Prasad Bhat had picked Gulshan Devaiah’s looks from his movies like ‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’, ‘Death in the Gunj’, ‘Commando 3’, ‘Dahaad’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, ‘Ghost Stories’, ‘Durangaa’, ‘Badhaai Do’, and ‘Hunterrr’.

Speaking about the noble act, Gulshan Devaiah said, “If I really like something, then, I am willing to pay for it. I am very grateful & privileged to receive offers by artists to make me something for free but it’s their livelihood too & in this age of Machine Learning & AI (Artificial Intelligence), the least I can do is support artists by offering to pay them their rates. Prasad offered to make me something, I liked his idea and decided I wanted to commission him to summarise my career until now with his art. I’m very happy with Prasad’s caricatures and each one of them have wonderful memories attached to them.”
Last seen in the films like ‘8 AM Metro’ opposite Saiyami Kher and the crime thriller ‘Dahaad’, Gulshan Devaiah will be soon seen filming his upcoming action thriller movie ‘Ulajh’ with Janhvi Kapoor and also the Malayalam movie star Roshan Mathew.
