Previously, Fatima happened to reveal that among the many who worked with her, Shraddha Kapoor's rumoured boyfriend Rahul Mody also helped her out with another health condition - Bulimia. It all began with Fatima's debut in Dangal. Back then, her fellow debutant Sanya Malhotra noticed that something was wrong. That is when Fatima was able to put a finger at what was really happening.

The screenwriter helped her build healthier routines and gradually break free from the extreme eating cycles.

Fatima’s current rumoured boyfriend and Gustaakh Ishq co-star Vijay Varma recalled to Mashable how she warned him about her epilepsy episodes. “Around pack-up time during late night and I was sitting outside and reading a book between takes and I heard something, and by that time, she had gotten a seizure. I felt so vulnerable and helpless. But then I recalled all the things that she had told me. We emptied out a bed on the shoot and made her lie down and asked people to give her space. I just kept my hand on her head and sat near her. We waited for the seizure to pass. Then we took her to the hotel in the car. When she came to the hotel, she was awake, but she didn’t recall everything,” the actor shared. He also raised awareness and shunned those who overlook the condition as ‘naatak.’

Vijay further admitted sharing a special friendship with Fatima. “I felt so protective of her, and I think I found a new kind of a bond with her because she went through a very vulnerable and helpless stage with me, and maybe that’s why we have this kind of a friendship,” he said.

Unfortunately, the mental stress for Fatima was too much and she started noticing patterns of epilepsy too – where her brain just wanted to go numb for a few minutes. The actress struggles with the condition till date.
