Director Prasanth Varma became a sensation of sorts post the success of HanuMan now streaming on OTTplay Premium. The fantasy drama became such a big hit that all the producers in Tollywood made a beeline for Prasanth and paid him huge advances.

With the success, Prasanth greenlit many films, and one of them was with Rishab Shetty. But sadly, none of the films have gone on floors to date.
In a shocking turnaround of events, a few producers have decided to lodge a complaint in the film chamber against Prasanth and have demanded a refund of the advance as he has not yet started their films.
One of the sources close to a top production house has revealed to us that Prasanth has taken an advance of close to Rs 50 crore and has invested it in a massive studio on the outskirts of the city. All this has put the director under immense pressure, and he has yet to respond to this controversy.
Jai HanuMan was his next film, and a film with Balakrishna's son, Mokshagna, was also on the cards. But it was put on hold at the last minute, and not only this, but a few other films that he was supervising are yet to go on floors.
As he is surrounded by so many issues, Prasanth Varma announced a film titled Mahakali featuring Bhoomi Shetty as the lead. There is a lot of chaos regarding this issue, and the source goes on to add that the makers of Pushpa and KGF are the ones who have paid him hefty advances.
