Happy Raj is an upcoming Tamil film which will releasing in theatres this week. The romantic comedy drama has locked March 27 date, and will be the only prominent Tamil film to be out this week.

Happy Raj plot:

Happy Raj is about the titular character who has troubles finding love because of his father and his looks that are mocked by everyone in the village. But when Happy Raj finally finds a woman who is okay with his father’s looks, their families meet, leading to the rise of complicated and hilarious situations.

Happy Raj cast includes GV Prakash, Abbas, Sri Gouri Priya, George Maryan, Geetha Kailasam, Prathana Nathan, Adirchi Arun, Madurai Muthi and others. It is to be noted that Happy Raj will mark the comeback of Abbas to Tamil cinema after over a decade. Written and directed by Maria Raja Elanchezian in his debut, the music is scored by Justin Prabhakaran. The technical crew also includes cinematographer Madhan Chirstopher and editor Selva RK.

The film's trailer is about the titular character who seems to have multiple love failures, a reason being his father. But the trailer never tells how his father is an obstacle. Meanwhile, Happy Raj moves to a new city and eventually finds a girl who seems to accept him. What is the issue and if Happy Raj eventually finds his love, forms the rest of the story.

Happy Raj has a runtime of two hours and 36 minutes, and censored U/A certificate, making the film for all age groups.

Happy Raj OTT platform:

Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Happy Raj. The film is expected to stream in multiple languages. While an OTT release date is yet to be announced, Happy Raj is expected to stream sometime in end of April.
