Emraan Hashmi, who has been grabbing all the attention for his cameo appearance in Aryan Khan's The Ba***ds of Bollywood will be seen in a courtroom drama alongside another talented actor, Yami Gautam. The drama titled Haq is based on the Supreme Court’s landmark judgement on the Mohd Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum case. Directed by Shuparn S Verma, Haq is all set to release in theatres on November 7, 2025. Ahead of the release, the makers unveiled the gripping teaser.

The 1-minute and 12-second teaser of Haq portrays the landmark judgment of the Supreme Court in the real case of Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum case. Sparking a debate between personal law vs. secular law, HAQ, the film will feature Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi in their most powerful and layered roles as Mohd. Ahmed Khan and Shah Bano Begum, respectively.

Haq depicts the events stated in the book titled ‘Bano: Bharat ki Beti’ written by Jigna Vora. It highlights the controversial cases of the eighties - a discussion that started more than four decades ago and is still relevant today.
