Real-life couple Umesh Kamat and Priya Bapat have collaborated for their new Marathi project titled He Kai Naveen. The project literally translates to ‘What’s this new thing?’ Umesh and Priya shared exciting glimpses from their upcoming project which is backed by Zee5. See it here…

Umesh Kamat and Priya Bapat shared photos from their Mahurat shot from their upcoming project, He Kai Naveen. Priya (City of Dreams actress) was seen holding the clapperboard which simply had ‘mahurat’ written instead of scene number, shot number and take number. She donned a white dress and left her hair unkempt. Her husband Umesh Kamat also kept it simple in a striped blue-and-white shirt with off-white pants and black belt. He maintained short facial hair including moustache and beard covering half of his face. While the couple smiled for the cameras, the director Varun Narvekar maintained a straight face for the photo.

The second picture revealed slightly more in terms of Priya and Umesh getting their own versions of the script for the romantic-comedy. The release date for the project is not yet announced but it is clear that the project is backed by Zee5. This hints that He Kai Naveen will have a direct-to-OTT release on Zee5 (OTTplay Premium).

Umesh Kamat and Priya Bapat had previously worked together on Aani Kay Hava with Varun himself. The series is a slice-of-life seeing them in the roles of married couple Jui and Saket. Three seasons of the series are now streaming on Amazon MX Player. Whether the trio aims to take the story forward with their new project or a new season of Aani Kay Hava is still in the works remains unknown.
