This happens when Priyadarshan had left the fans worried that the film will go on floors next year. However, the good news is here earlier than expected since Hera Pheri 3 has already commenced shooting!

Hera Pheri 3 goes on floors

A source confirmed the news of Hera Pheri 3 going on floors to Hindustan Times. "Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot today with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles," the little birdie informed.

When Priyadarshan confirmed he will return to direct Hera Pheri 3

Hera Pheri 3 is already among the most-awaited Bollywood movies of 2025. Priyadarshan had confirmed that he would return for the third installment and reunite with the OG cast. While Akshay is known for his role of Raju, Paresh Rawal plays Baburao Ganpatrao Apte and Suniel Shetty is seen in the character of Shyam.

Priyadarshan on bringing back Raju-Shyam-Baburao

Right after announcing his return as the director for Hera Pheri 3, Priyadarshan had spoken about the challenges that would come with making the third part of the franchise. He pointed out how the characters have grown older, and that would be a challenge. Nonetheless, the first scene shot promises to hit the sweet, nostalgic spot. For the uninitiated, Akshay and Priyadarshan are currently shooting for Bhooth Bangla.

Hera Pheri originally released in 2000, while Phir Hera Pheri was out in 2006. We would not get Hera Pheri 3 after almost two decades.
