​Dhanush's next with Selvaraghavan Naane Varuvean is all set to hit screens tomorrow and excitement among fans has reached a feverish peak. Though there are no 4am shows for the film, the FDFS is set to begin at 8am across the country and fans are expected to make a beeline to the theatres. The film, directed by Selvaraghavan with Elli AvrRam and Indhuja Ravichandran playing the leading ladies.


Dhanush in dual roles

Dhanush will be seen in a dual avatar in the film. Though the actor has earlier portrayed dual roles, in films like Kodi,what's interesting about Naane Varuvean is that one of them will be the protagonist and the other the antagonist. It is said that there will be a deja vu effect on the lookalikes. In the trailer, while one character played by Dhanush was seen as a regular person, the other one was seen as a forest dweller carrying weapons in his hand. Dhanush is said to have written the story as well.


The return of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan

The last time Dhanush and Selvaraghavan had worked together was in Mayakkam Enna, which was released in 2011. Mayakkam Enna was a psychological drama that revolved around an aspiring photographer played by Dhanush and had Richa Gangopadhyay as the leading lady. Naane Varuvean is also said to be a psychological thriller. The brothers had earlier worked together in films like Kadhal Kondein and Pudhupettai


Comeback of Yuvan Shankar Raja

It's been a while Yuvan Shankar Raja scored music for Dhanush- Selvaraghavan combination. With Naane Varu​v​ean, this is seventh time that Yuvan is scoring music for a Dhanush film after Thulluvadho Ilamai, Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan, Kadhal kondein, Pudhupettai, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Maari 2. All the mentioned films have gone on to have successful albums.


Selvaraghavan put​s​ on the acting cap

Director Selvaraghavan, who recently made his acting debut with Arun Matheswaran's Saani Kaayidham and Nelson Dilipkumar's Beast will be wearing the acting hat once again. Interestingly, this will also be the first time that Selvaraghavan will be acting in his own direction.


Debut of Elli AvrRam

The film marks the debut of Swedish-Greek actress Elli AvrRam in the Tamil film industry. She has starred in a number of Hindi films. Though she did a supporting character in Paris Paris, the Tamil remake of Queen, the film is yet to hit screens, thus making Naane Varuvean her debut film.​
