After tasting success with Major, the pan-Indian film and the biopic of armyman Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Adivi Sesh is set to turn a cool cop for his upcoming film Hit 2. Hit 2, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is the sequel to the action thriller Hit, starring Vishwak Sen, Ruhani Sharma in the lead, that had released in 2020 (also helmed by Sailesh). Meenakshi Chaudhary is cast as the leading lady in the sequel which is set to release across the globe in Telugu on December 2.

The teaser of Hit 2, launched the previous week, opened to terrific responses all over and has given the makers enough confidence, helping them commence their promotional campaign on a positive note. Well, the film is back in the news again. The video version of the first single from Hit 2, Urike Urike, will be launched on November 10. MM Shreelekha, the composer behind films like Dharmachakram and Preminchu, is making a comeback in a mainstream film after a sabbatical.

A new poster from Hit 2, featuring the lovestruck lead pair Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi was also released today. Prashanti Tipirneni is bankrolling the film while noted actor Nani is the presenter under Wall Poster Cinema. Garry BH is the editor and S Manikandan, the cinematographer respectively. Krishna Kanth pens the lyrics for the songs. Sailesh Kolanu also helmed the Hindi remake of Hit (the first case) starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra this year (streaming on Netflix).

The Telugu version of Hit can be watched on Amazon Prime Video. As per a recent statement by Vishwak Sen, the team plans to build a thriller franchise out of Hit and unite all its lead actors in the final instalment.
