Nani is in top form with back-to-back hits in his career. He is ready with his new film HIT 3, which will hit the screens on May 1, 2025. Post this film, Nani will be seen in The Paradise, which will be directed by Dasara fame Srikanth Odela.

Nani to join hands with Karthik Subbaraj

The latest update is that Nani will soon team up with Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj. Incidentally, the Pizza and Petta director is also gearing up for the release of his new film Retro, which hits the screens on the same day as Nani's HIT 3—May 1, 2025.

When asked about his upcoming films, Nani stated that he has discussed an idea with Karthik and that things will be locked very soon. "I love the way Karthik shoots his films and have always wanted to collaborate with him. So when he came to me with an interesting idea, I was super excited, and we discussed the project and the timeline for when to take the film on floors," says Nani.

Nani on teaming up with star directors

If you look at Nani's career, he has mostly worked with new or one-film directors and has stayed away from star directors. When asked about the same, Nani says, "Star director films take time, and to take them forward, I cannot hold the other films that are directed by newcomers. That is the reason I have not collaborated much with big directors."

Some time back, the Jersey actor was supposed to work with Sukumar, but that project did not materialize. Nani, being a natural performer, would make a great main lead under Karthik Subbaraj’s direction, who has a unique style of making films.

On the other hand, Nani plays Arjun Sarkaar in HIT 3, which is directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who last made Saindhav with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam star Venkatesh. HIT 3 is special for various reasons, as Nani is producing the film himself under his banner, Wall Poster Cinema, and Srinidhi Shetty is making her Telugu debut with this film.
