Directed by award-winning filmmaker Karuna Kumar, Honey is a suspense thriller with an experimental touch. Karuna Kumar’s previous outing with Varun Tej also failed at the box office, and this time too, the film was released quietly without aggressive promotions.

What is the storyline of Naveen Chandra's Honey?

The story revolves around a married couple struggling with financial issues. Anand played by Naveen Chandra has knowledge of occult practices and hatches a risky and morally questionable plan involving his daughter to earn money illegally. As the plan unfolds, things spiral out of control, leading to serious consequences involving superstition, health complications, and emotional turmoil.

Divya Pillai, Raja Ravindra, and Devi play key roles, while Ajay R Sada composed the music. Critics appreciated Naveen Chandra’s intense performance, and Devi also impressed in a strong role. However, despite solid performances, the film failed to click at the box office.

Naveen Chandra continues to balance roles as both a hero and character artist. But once again, his luck as a solo lead did not work theatrically. It remains to be seen whether Honey finds redemption on OTT. Once the film lands on Sun NXT, you can also stream Honey on OTTplay Premium.
