Hot Spot 2 Much, the 2026 Tamil hyperlink drama film written and directed by Vignesh Karthick, is now running in theatres. The film is a follow-up to the director’s 2024 film Hot Spot. Hot Spot 2 Much hit theatres on Friday, and has made Rs 8 lakh at the box office.

Hot Spot 2 Much box office collection: How much did the film make?

Hot Spot 2 Much is a hyperlink social drama. While the first part had four stories that talked about various social issues and taboos, this time, the sequel has three stories. Vignesh Karthick who helmed the first part, returns for the second. The first part made nearly Rs 60 lakh at the box office.

As per Sacnilk, Hot Spot 2 Much made Rs 8 lakh on day one. On the other hand, Draupathi 2, which had also released on the same day, had made Rs 20 lakh on day one. However, both Draupathi 2 and Hot Spot 2 Much, were overshadowed by the re-release of Mankatha which stars Ajith Kumar in the lead role, which boasts advance bookings only over Rs 2 crore.

Hot Spot has three segments, with each one taking up a social or cultural issue and talking about it. The film explores various topics like toxic fan culture and hero worshipping, right to dress and social context, freedom of love. With wacky choices and shock values, Hot Spot 2 Much had opened to mixed reviews.

A part continuation from the first part, Hot Spot 2 features actors Priya Bhavani Shankar, MS Baaskar, Thambi Ramaiah, Rakshan, Ashwin Kumar, Aadhitya Baaskar, Bhavani Sre, Brigida Saga, Sanjana Tiwari, and others. The film is written and directed by Vignesh Karthick and shot by Jagadeesh Ravi, Joseph Paul. Hot Spot 2 has music by Satish Raghunathan and is edited by Muthayan U.
