House Mates, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Darshan and Kaali Venkat in the lead roles, is all set to make its OTT debut. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by ZEE5. The platform on Thursday announced that House Mates will premiere on September 19.

We had earlier reported that House Mates will stream on ZEE5. Now, the release date has been revealed. The Tamil horror comedy fantasy film will stream from September 19. You can also watch it with an OTTplay Premium subscription.

House Mates stars Darshan, Kaali Venkat, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Vinodini, Dheena, Abdool Lee, and Master Henrik in prominent roles. Raja Vel, who has earlier worked as co-director with filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu and was part of the writing team of Demonte Colony 2, has written and directed the upcoming horror comedy.

The film revolves around two middle-class families, one that of newlyweds Karthik (Darshan) and Anu (Aarsha Chandini Baiju), who move into an apartment, and another nuclear family consisting of a couple and their son. However, when the younger couple discover strange occurrences that seem linked to another family in a different timeline, what starts off as an ordinary domestic setting quickly turns into a suspenseful, supernatural puzzle where comedy, fantasy, and emotional drama.
