War 2 was considered one of the most-awaited Bollywood films of 2025. The preparation and promotions were colossal, but when the film was released, it received mixed to negative responses from the audience and critics. Now joins the OG assistant director of War and Pathaan, Rajvir Ashar. He shared a story on his Instagram account and slammed Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani's film.

Pathaan and War's assistant director Rajvir Ashar has expressed disappointment over War 2's emotional depth and weak execution. After working with Siddharth Anand, who directed the original film, he labeled War 2 as the "weakest film" in YRF's spy universe.

He wrote on his IG story, "This one was just a heartbreaking experience for me. I was rooting for this film and all it did was upset me to no degree! A mid first half is followed by a deplorable and overlong second. Neither did it have enough highs nor was it successful in resonating with me emotionally! The most ‘anticipated’ day turned out to be a ‘colossal’ disappointment. Weakest film of the universe!"

Reacting to his IG story, one social media user commented, “Truly the weakest film of the universe.” Another said, “The movie was so bad.” “Should end the Spyverse now," read another comment.
