Kangana Ranaut and Ramya Krishnan, both actors, have something in common. They recently had the chance to depict the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, and did it to the best of their abilities. Kangana was mentioned by Ramya as one of the best young actors in the nation in one of her interviews.

Ramya portrayed Jayalalithaa in the web series Queen while Kangana was seen playing the same character in Thalaivii.

When Queen's first season was being promoted, Ramya was quizzed about Kangana's portrayal of J Jayalalithaa in Thalaivii. "I believe Kangana is one of the best actors in the nation among the younger group. I have no doubt in her ability to deliver, and I admire her courage and candour," she told Firstpost.

Vijay directed Thalaivii which was simultaneously filmed in Tamil and Hindi. Arvind Swami played a significant role in the movie as well.

Ramya Krishnan played Sakthi Seshadri in Queen which Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prasath Murugesan directed. Jayalalithaa, a former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, served as the inspiration for the role. In the series, Jayalalithaa's life is divided into three categories. It will concentrate on her life as a young girl in school, as a teenager, and the time when she entered politics and succeeded MG Ramachandran after his death.

Ramya recently began shooting for the second season of the series. Sharing two pictures from the sets, donning the look of her character from Queen Ramya wrote: “Yes yes (sic).” She followed it up with a praying emoji.

In a media interview before the premiere of the first season, Gautham had stated that he wasn't certain Ramya Krishnan would be interested in working on the project.

"I just went by what Gautham told me. He wanted me to be myself and that's what I did. I was reacting to the words which I had to speak which were so powerful and so well written," said Ramya.

Queen season 2 is in the works, and she is excited. "I am waiting to get there and be a part of it. People can expect more action, more interesting content, thrilling and exciting content," she added.

On the other hand, Kangana has Emergency in her kitty. This one, which she both wrote and directed, is billed as the account of a turning point in Indian political history. She plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
