Arijit Singh took Kolkata by storm as he performed at Aquatica Water Park on Saturday. From addressing the ‘Gerua’ controversy to paying immense tribute to Bangla bands – the legendary singer wooed the audience beyond expectations. Several celebrities, including Rupam Islam and Raj Chakraborty, were seen at the venue.

However, a lot of inconveniences for the regular audiences were reported on the day. The parking space was far from the venue and the only way to get there was toto or auto. There was a mad rush for the shuttles at the venue on the day. On Wednesday, Arijit took to his social media to apologise to his fans. He wrote, “I am sorry that you had to park your cars almost 1km away and walk to the venue (as Toto rikshaws were unable to handle the rush). I am sorry that you had to tolerate the unhealthy place and mosquito bites. I am sorry some volunteers misbehaved with so many people as if they have the authority to do so!! I am sorry so many of you could not come inside on time because some people did not care to help with the hand bands ( it was new to a lot of people). Sorry that you had to figure it out yourselves. But still the way you showed me love, I am humbled,” he further added that he has immense love for his audience in his heart. He also promised that he would present a better experience next time he performs.

Arijit fans replied overwhelmingly to his post appreciating his humility. One fan said that they could walk miles to hear him singing. Another fan said that it takes a lot of courage to say sorry and Arijit is a bigger individual.
