Idli Kadai, the recently released Tamil film directed by Dhanush, who also stars in the lead role, is running in theatres, as it is soon going to end its big screen run. The film is expected to premiere sometime end of this month or in November beginning. Netflix, which has bagged the OTT rights, is yet to announce its premiere date.

Idli Kadai, the Dhanush starrer rural drama, is a latest Tamil film. It marks the fourth directorial of the actor, who has also written the film. Based on people he had witnessed during his childhood, Dhanush had penned the story of Idli Kadai.

The film released in theatres earlier this month and will soon gear up for its OTT release. Netflix platform owns the streaming rights of the and is expected to release the film on October 31. However, the streaming giant has not yet officially announced the OTT release date of Idli Kadai. Netflix is expected to make Idli Kadai available in multiple audio languages along with English subtitles.

The story of Idli Kadai is that of a young man who leaves his village and parents to pursue his dreams outside. Life leads him to Thailand where he now works for a big restaurant. However, just before a big life moment, the young man is forced to come back to his village and take over the responsibility of running his father’s legacy idli eatery.
