Idli Kadai trailer out: Co-starring Arun Vijay, Nithya Menen, and Sathyaraj, the film is set for release on October 1.

The trailer of Idli Kadai, the upcoming Tamil film starring Dhanush who has also doubled up as director, was released by the makers on social media on Saturday. The team, along with Dhanush, had also attended the trailer launch event in Coimbatore.

Actor Dhanush, who has turned into a filmmaker and already helmed three films, is now anticipating the release of his fourth directorial. Featuring Dhanush in the lead role, and titled Idly Kadai, the makers released the trailer of the film on Saturday.

The trailer begins with a Dhanush's family checking a grinder and the actor persuading his family to buy it so that they can easily make the idly batter. We soon see Dhanush as a rich professional working under Arun Vijay and Sathyaraj. However, he soon comes back to his family. Meanwhile we see Arun Vijay, as a man born in riches and looking down upon the idly stall, which is seen as a 'big sentiment' to the entire village.

Idli Kadai release date:

Idli Kadai was set to have released earlier this year. But the makers postponed it and will now arrive on October 1. It is interesting that the Dhanush film will have a head-on collision with Kannada film Kantara: Chapter 1, which is set to release on October 2. Idli Kadai must live up to its expectations and be par excellent to compete with a film which has already tasted success pan-India with its first instalment.

The film stars Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran and others, in important roles. Idli Kadai has music by GV Prakash Kumar, and is expected to be a family drama. The technical crew of Idli Kadai consists of Kiran Koushik as the cinematographer and Prasanna GK handling the edits.

Idli Kadai marks fourth directorial of Dhanush after Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, Raayan, and Pa Paandi.
