Ikkis' advance booking has started as the film gears up for its January 1, 2026, release. Early reports claimed that Dharmendra's film is likely to have a slow start.

Sriram Raghavan's Ikkis is all set to hit cinemas on January 1, 2025. Starring Dharmendra, Agastya Nanda, and Jaideep Ahlawat, the film was originally scheduled for December 25, 2025, but to avoid Dhurandhar's unstoppable box office run, it has been postponed. However, it is being reported that Dhurandhar’s shows are to be reduced by 50% in several single-screens in favour of Ikkis from January 1, but as per early advance booking and box office update, Ikkis is set to have a slow start.

According to trade sources, by 2 pm on Wednesday (December 31, 2025), on the eve of the film's release, Ikkis has sold a little over 30,000 tickets for its opening day, crossing the nearly Rs 1 crore mark in advance bookings. Considering the movie's revenue, it is quite low, but businessmen are expecting it to increase further during the New Year holidays. Filmy News stated that current occupancy is less than 5%, as only 3 of the 3,600 shows have been houseful.
Based on the advance booking trend, the Agastya Nanda starrer is expected to have a slow opening. Ikkis is likely to open in the domestic market on Thursday in the net range of Rs. 2 crore. Due to limited promotion abroad, a global opening of more than Rs. 3-4 crore will be considered a bonus.
Meanwhile, with January 1 marking its 28th day in cinemas, Dhurandhar is expected to earn over Rs. 10 crore, according to trade experts. The film's success, which is more than five times that of a new release, highlights the film's exceptional staying power.
Ikkis is a Hindi war biopic about India's youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The film highlights his bravery and sacrifice at age 21 in the 1971 Indo-Pak War's Battle of Basantar, starring Agastya Nanda as Khetarpal, with Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Simar Bhatia in key roles.
