Ikkis screening: Bobby Deol teary-eyed after watching father Dharmendra’s last film

Ikkis, marking Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda’s Bollywood debut, is nearing its theatrical release. The movie co-incidentally happens to be Dharmendra’s last film. Not just Bobby, all of the Deol family went out to watch Ikkis and was left emotional on seeing their father one last time on the big screen.

In a video released by paparazzo Sneha Zala, Bobby Deol was caught wiping tears as he headed out after watching Ikkis at the premiere of the film which is touted to be the last movie his father Dharmendra ever worked in. The clip, where Bobby posed for the media briefly before heading back home with the Deol family is now viral on the internet.

Ikkis release date pushed

Ikkis was initially scheduled for Christmas 2025 release. However, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has been stealing the spotlight from many releases. In the midst of it, the makers decided to push the release date of Ikkis. Thus, the film now releases in theatres on January 1, 2026.

2025 – When Bollywood lost Dharmendra

2025 is when Bollywood lost its He-Man, Dharmendra. The veteran actor was about to celebrate his 90th birthday, but just a few days before that, his last rites took place on November 24, 2025. Bollywood’s biggest superstars including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and of course, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, were spotted at Dharmendra’s funeral.

The actor is survived by his first wife Prakash Kaur, sons Sunny Deol and Bobby (both actors), and daughters Vijeta and Ajeita Deol – along with his second wife Hema Malini and their children Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
