Tamil superstar Dhanush moved into his brand-new home in Chennai's iconic Poes Garden. The posh real estate in the city is the address for some of the powerful people in Tamil Nadu. Superstar Rajinikanth, Dhanush's father-in-law, also lives in the same location.

Dhanush took possession of the new house on Saturday. Being a devoted worshiper of Lord Shiva, it is not a surprise that Dhanush picked the occasion of Maha Shivaratri to move into his new property. According to reports, the massive property is valued at Rs 150 crore.

In 2021, Dhanush and his now-estranged wife Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth performed the ground-breaking ceremony together. Rajinikanth was also in attendace. However, in January 2022, Dhanush and Aishwarya announced their speration. The couple issued a joint statement announcing the separation after 18 years of marriage.

Dhanush has moved into the new house with his parents, Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi. The pictures from the housewarming ceremony showed Dhanush hosting his extended family at his new house.

"Brother Dhanush's new house feels like a temple to me... Children who make their mother and father live in heaven while they are still alive, feel like gods... And they become an example to their children and others. Long live brother," read an appreciation post by director Subramaniam Shiva, who has worked with Dhanush in several films in various capacities.

On the career front, Dhanush is now basking in the success of his latest film Vaathi. Written and directed by Venky Atluri, the film marked Dhanush's debut in Telugu cinema. And surprisingly, the film has managed to find a lot of takers in the Telugu states. The Telugu version titled Sir emerged as a top choice for movie-goers at the Telugu box office. Vaathi is also making a dent at the box office in Tamil Nadu.
