India vs Australia 1st T20I

The high octane series between India and Australia is all set to begin and this T20I series will be a preparation before the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Both teams will hope to unearth their best possible XI so as to know which cricketers to play for the multi-nation tournament.

While the two world-class sides are all set to play the shortest format of the game, let's see some mini-battles that could take place during the match.

Virat Kohli vs Pat Cummins:

Now looking back on his form, fans are expecting more from former India skipper Virat Kohli. However, he will be facing a tough challenge from Aussie pacer Pat Cummins.

Kohli, in the Asia Cup 2022, had roared back to scoring runs and had even become the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament.

On the other hand, Pat Cummins has not featured in a T20I since February this year. However, despite the gap, he is still an asset for any side due to his bowling ability.

Yuzvendra Chahal vs Glenn Maxwell:

Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, since making his return to international cricket, has been in good form. Although he did not have the best of time in the Asia Cup, he did show his class in the game against Sri Lanka.

Talking Glenn Maxwell, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player is one of the most destructive players in white-ball cricket. The all-rounder is known to attack from the go and to be fearless even in tough situations.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs Aaron Finch:

Another key battle in the clash would be between Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Aaron Finch.

The swing bowler has been unfortunate with injuries in the past, however, he made a comeback in the limited-overs and it was seen during the Asia Cup.

However, Aaron Finch, on the other hand, has not been in form with the bat. He had even recently called his time on his 50-over career.

Head-to-head, Bhuvi has had an upper hand and now it would be even more especially after Finch's vulnerability is exposed.

Hardik Pandya vs Adam Zampa:

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya made a return to full form after his injury. He showed his talent during the IPL 2022, where he led his side to their maiden victory and also performed in other international games.

However, Australian leg spinner Adma Zampa has been one of the consistent performers for the Men in Yellow.

KL Rahul vs Josh Hazelwood:

The No. 1 ranked T20I bowler in the world Josh Hazelwood would surely be using KL Rahul's new return to cricket post his injury to his advantage.

Rahul has been struggling to regain his form and he did not look himself during the series against Zimbabwe and even in the Asia Cup.

As for Hazelwood, he will surely not overlook this weakness and would come to all guns blazing against the Indian opener.
