The shoot for Kamal Haasan's upcoming vigilante action thriller Indian 2 is happening at a brisk pace. The team is currently shooting at the Sadras Dutch Fort in the outskirts of Chennai. In the meantime, when fans heard that the Ulaganayagan was at the venue, they turned up in droves to get a glimpse of the actor. The crowd was so huge that the gates of the fort had to be closed. Fans shouted in unison and Kamal Haasan, who did not want to disappoint them, emerged from inside the fort and waved at them. He later asked them to leave the fort safely without creating any ruckus.

In the meantime, the security around the fort has been beefed up to prevent any untoward incident at the shooting spot. The team, we hear, is currently shooting a scene set in the pre-independence period. Kamal Haasan had recently taken a picture with the stunt team from inside the fort. In the picture, the actor is seen enjoying a conversation with them. The entire crew is seen wearing a T-shirt that screams Indian 2 adorned by a picture of Kamal Haasan's iconic character. Kamal Haasan had captioned the picture, "“Verb “With the Indian 2 action design team #bulletactiondesign #indian2  (sic)."

The film, helmed by Shankar, features an ensemble cast which includes Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Gulshan Grover, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simhaa, George Maryan to name a few. The team, we hear, will also retain the portions shot by ace comedian Vivekh, thus making Indian 2 his last film onscreen.

Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman and editing by Sreekar Prasad. The film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. If all goes as per plan, Indian 2 is likely to hit screens in October this year.
