“Promising to blend today’s talent with songs of yesteryears, this season is set to be a musical celebration of songs of yesteryears in Indian music. This season will be a power-packed journey of emotions, memories, and extraordinary talent,” the makers said in a statement.

Vishal took to his Instagram account and shared a behind-the-scenes video with fellow judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah to officially announce his return to the judge panel. He had bid goodbye to the show earlier this year but now he is back.

In April, Vishal revealed the reason for his resignation and shared that he wanted to focus more on music making and concerts, and that being in Mumbai for six months every year was not something he wanted to continue.

“Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, uss se bhi zyada yaad aayegi. Haqq se zyada pyaar milaa hai, iss show ki vajah se. Eternally grateful to everyone involved. I hope the show will miss me as much as I’ll miss it. I’m literally only leaving because I want my time back. Can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year!” wrote Vishal back then. But now Vishal is all set to be seen in the judge panel with Shreya and Badshah.

On the other hand, as per reports, Udit Narayan will host the new season in the absence of his son Aditya Narayan, as the latter is currently busy with the reality show Rise and Fall. However, Mid-Day reported that Aditya will return to Indian Idol once his current commitments end.
