We had told you R Parthiban was directing Iravin Nizhal, which the makers call the world's first non-linear single-shot film. Ahead of its theatrical release, a grand audio launch is being planned for June 5. According to sources, Parthiban will screen 30 minutes of Iravin Nizhal at the venue. But, here's the catch—the guests ought to attend the event, sans mobile phones! The actor-director has mentioned the same in the invites and sent them out to the industry biggies. This is done, in order, to prevent piracy.

Recently, Parthiban was seen promoting Iravin Nizhal at the 75th Cannes Film Festival along with his daughter Keerthana.

With a run-time of about 100 minutes, Iravin Nizhal will hit the screens on June 24. After 90 days of rehearsals, the output was achieved, involving over 300 actors and 150 technicians, all choreographed into one single shot. Also featuring Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga, Robo Shankar, and so on, Iravin Nizhal has cinematography by Arthur Wilson and a music score by double Oscar-winning composer, AR Rahman.

Speaking at the single launch of Iravin Nizhal, Parthiban said, “AR Rahman and I were supposed to work on a film titled Yelelo twenty years ago, but that didn't fall into place.”

AR Rahman, on the other hand, added that when he first heard the idea of Iravin Nizhal, he thought it was sheer madness. “Passion is something that we have during our childhood days, but it eventually goes away. In Parthiban, I still see the fire, which is infectious.”

Three weeks ago, Parthiban was in the news, as he threw his microphone at the audience, during the single launch. However, he apologised for his actions, saying he was under immense pressure following sleepless nights.

Iravin Nizhal has a technical crew that includes Academy award-winning sound designer Craig Mann and VFX supervisor Cottalango Leon.

It is bankrolled by Parthiban himself under the banner of Bioscope Film Framers. Kalaipuli S Thanu is presenting the film, on behalf of his banner, V Creations.
