Legendary actor Irrfan Khan established himself in the entertainment industry with his potent performance. He was a well-known performer who was in great demand both in Bollywood and Hollywood. Irrfan Khan died in April 2020 after a two-year battle with a neuroendocrine tumour. The talented star was born on January 7. In advance of Irrfan Khan's birthday, Babil Khan spoke at length to Bollywood Bubble about the loss of his father and the relationship they had.

He told the entertainment portal that he believes the first day it occurred was merely a coincidence; he didn't believe it, so he said, "Maine toh deal bhi kar liya" thinking he was so mature. He was naive at first, and the next day there were only slight feelings of it as if it hadn't even hit him yet, and he just spiralled out of control, so I locked myself in his room for a month and a half.

Babil said how much he missed his father, Irrfan Khan, by stating that it's like when one gets up to talk to Baba or to send him a message and they suddenly realise, in these small ways, that he's not there anymore. The late actor used to shoot so often that he would sometimes be gone for a long time before coming back. Consequently, when it first happened, Babil persuaded himself that he would return after the shooting schedule. Then it gradually dawned on him that this was a permanent filming schedule and he was not going to show up.

Babil went on to say that he recently lost his best friend, who was also the only best friend he had who he could laugh and joke with. It was terrible on a level that the Qala actor finds hard to describe, yet he stays optimistic because of their relationship, the connection they shared, and the transformation they underwent together.

Babil remarked that he also feels nostalgic about that time since it was the last time he was entirely himself. It gives him the confidence to press on. In addition, losing a loved one makes one realise that everything is fleeting. Knowing that people will die one day makes them suddenly realise that nothing here is permanent because daily life is treated as if it were a permanent problem. It gave Babil the confidence to follow his heart and do what he desired.

The young actor started performing because he had always wanted to but had been too afraid because of Baba because he thought, "Man, I'm going to die."
