Aamir Khan is back in news, this time over a speculation that he could be playing Guru Nanak next. This speculation began after a photo went viral. The picture that resembles him in a look test for Guru Nanak raised speculation whether the actor actually plans to take up the project after Sitaare Zameen Par comeback. The reality, though, as per his agency, is far from the truth.

Till recently, Aamir Khan confirmed two projects only. One is his Bollywood comeback film Sitaare Zameen Par. The spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par will see him in a contrasting role. It is a Christmas release and will be out this year i.e. in 2025. The second project that Aamir has confirmed is Mahabharata, which is his passion project. However, the actor confirmed that even the scripting stage would take some more time (at least a year). Last seen in a cameo in Salaam Venky Aamir is yet to announce any other projects apart from the two.

Right after the photo of Ghajini star Aamir Khan went viral, an insider issued an official statement on the matter. They shunned it as a work of AI and called it a false rumour. "The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project. He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Please don't fall for fake news," the source shared.

Aamir Khan briefly left Bollywood after giving a series of flops like Thugs of Hindostan and Laal Singh Chaddha. He underwent a divorce with his ex-wife Kiran Rao too at the time and was busy taking time to re-invent himself. Now, Aamir is back with his comeback film and a new lover, Gauri Spratt. The actor comes back with fresh energy, hoping to truly make a comeback in the cinema that gave him superstardom. Meanwhile, his cult classic with Salman Khan Andaz Apna Apna has re-released in theatres since Friday.
