As episode 5 was dropped at 6:31 AM on Monday in India, episode 6 is also expected to release on the same time next Monday, on December 1. The rest of the two episodes out of eight will be dropped on December 8 and December 15, 2025, respectively.

What to expect from Welcome To Derry Episode 6

The sixth episode is titled 'In The Name of the Father' and is expected to keep the central focus on Dick Hallorann's growing psychic abilities. Episode 6 is likely to delve deeper into the Black Spot and it's significance to Charlotte's agenda. Meanwhile, the children's storyline will intensify as Lilly will face a worsening mental state, Will to experience a conflict with his parents and Marge will take stand against the Patty Cakes.

According to the makers, Pennywise's apperance was actually planned for epsiodes 7 and 8, but they ultimately decided to tease him in episode 6, which means viewers can get glimpses of the entity more. The upcoming episode also promises to drop more Easter eggs and might reveale the Mrs. Kersh's connection with the IT Chapter 2 movie.

Welcome To Derry Episode 5 recap

The fifth episode finally featured the long-waited Pennywise just when the children and the millitary are in a tragic confrontation. The children's long-lost friend Matty Clements suddenly reappears, convincing Lilly that he escaped Pennywise's lair and that Phil Malkin is still alive. The children venture into the sewers to save Phill. Simultaneously, the military force, guided by Dick Hallorann, also enters the sewer system to recover the pillars.

In the climax, the children get know the shocking truth that Matty has been dead all this time. It was actually a manifestation used by the horrific entity to lure them to the sewers. Matty's corpse transforms into the iconic Pennywise clown form, finally.

On the other hand, Dick Hallorann is brutally tortured by Pennywise, forcing him to confront his most traumatic childhood memories of his abusive grandfather. The entity opens a mental 'lockbox' where Hallorann stored his darkest memories.
