Janaawar - The Beast Within follows Hemant Kumar (Bhuvan Arora), a dedicated cop, who faces social discrimination while solving a case. The case has a headless corpse, involves stolen gold, and a missing man that shakes the town. Hemant deals with his professional and personal lives, but whenever he faces caste discrimination, his world goes upside down. But he manages himself.

Like him, Kailash, the person who serves tea at the police station, also belongs to the lower caste. While Hemant is a police officer, Kailash is a servant, but both of them face discrimination in their own ways. This is why Hemant understands Kailash better, and also Kailash trusts Hemant more.

The case takes a dark turn when the head of the corpse goes missing because if the media gets to know about this, a drama will take place, so the DSP pressurizes the inspectors to work silently. Since Sarju, the brother of the MLA, also went missing, they suspect that the dead body is his.

Eventually, while digging deep into the investigation, Hemant and his team find out that there have been several murders. A goldsmith remembers Kailash as he says that Kailash went to his shop to sell some gold. Following this, Hemant suspects Kailash. At first, Kailash says that he did not do anything, but further investigation hints that Kailash has done something wrong. Since Kailash trusts Hemant, he tells Hemant that he has done multiple murders. This shakes the world of Hemant. He advises his other inspectors not to investigate Kailash without him or even beat him.

Kailash's confession and his life story

Towards the end, Kailash reveals more and informs Hemant that he has murdered everyone. He also shares his life story: his brother, who used to love a girl, Manda, died before their wedding. Manda ran away from her house so she could not return and thus started staying with Kailash. One day, Kailash proposed to Manda, and they married and welcomed a daughter, Garima. But their relationship was not strong, as Manda used illegal ways to earn money. However, Kailash also helped her.

He used to provoke men, mostly those who have wealth. He, along with Manda, used to play a trick with them that let those men become physically involved with Manda. In return, Kailash earned money so that the scandal involving them did not go public. MLA's brother had a crush on Manda, and when he could not stop obsessing over her, Kailash murdered him. Thus, he committed several murders. Kailash is the one who hid the head of the corpse as well. But later, Kailash took Hemant to the place where he hid it. Thus, Kailash confesses everything, and Hemant's case gets solved. Meanwhile, as Kailash gets the punishment, Hemant adopts his daughter Garima.
