One of her most demanding roles in Jarann is played by Amruta Subhash, who is renowned for her emotionally charged performances. Subhash recalled, describing a challenging day on set, "I remember one particular day of shooting when I was supposed to do three or four scenes with the second psychiatrist, played by Jyoti Malshe… These scenes, though, appear at different points in the narrative, which made me nervous... I was relying more on intuition than on any theoretical approach, and I was scared. But sometimes, fear pushes you to do things you don’t expect from yourself."

"Hrishikesh told me later that I was in a completely different zone that day... It felt really special when one of my co-actors from theatre, Shubhangi Gokhale, called me after watching the film. She said, ‘Many people are going to praise your breakdown scene before the interval... But what I loved the most were your scenes with the psychiatrist.’ That feedback meant a lot to me," she continued.
