The shooting of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, directed by Atlee, took place in Chennai. The Baadshah (King) of Bollywood, thanked the filmmaker for hosting him in Chennai. In reaction to Shah Rukh's tweet, Atlee asserted that by choosing Chennai as the location for the film's production, Shah Rukh Khan had helped hundreds of households.

Atlee is renowned for his popular action movies featuring Vijay, including Theri and Mersal.

The action movie, which is made by Red Chillies Entertainment, will release on June 2, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

On January 25, 2023, fans of SRK, will also be able to see him in Pathaan, which marks the actor's return to the silver screen after more than four years.

Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan, and Vijay reportedly met on the Varisu sets and had some important conversations, according to recent reports. Following the meeting, there were rumours that Vijay will make a cameo appearance in Jawan. However, we await an official confirmation.

The SRK-starrer would feature the actor in dual roles, along with Vijay Sethupathi. Unconfirmed reports claim that the Tamil actor was demanding Rs 21 crore and had to give up two films to appear in Jawan.

This one went on floors in September 2021, with filming taking place in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Jawan, with music by Anirudh Ravichander, stars Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles.

Before making his directorial debut with Raja Rani in 2013, Atlee had worked with Shankar as an assistant on Rajinikanth's Enthiran and Vijay's Nanban. Based on his prior filmography, one can be certain that Atlee would make a commercial entertainer that would appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Many of the characteristics of his mentor were inherited by the filmmaker, particularly his propensity for crafting projects on a massive scale.

Additionally, Atlee is familiar with the style of movies that SRK does. Notably, the Bollywood actor called Vijay's Bigil “a Chake De On steroids.”

Above all, it is important to keep in mind that Atlee hasn't yet delivered a flop!
