Neeraj Madhav, a noted Malayalam actor, has been a part of interesting Hindi projects too such as The Family Man. But did you know that the Malayalam actor was offered a role in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan and he turned it down? Yes, you read that right. Neeraj Madhav on turning down Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan

In an interview with The Cue, Neeraj Madhav, who was last seen in JioHotstar’s Malayalam web series Love Under Construction, recently spoke about getting offers from other language industries. Neeraj Madhav said that he was even offered in a role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

"I did not have much to do and hence I turned down a small role in that," Neeraj Madhav said. But Neeraj admitted that there are people who would say even if it is to simply be a part of a Shah Rukh Khan film, one should go.

But Neeraj said at that time, he kind of lost interest in other-language projects. Explaining further as to why he chose to focus on film back home, Neeraj said that he would always come with the tag of a south Indian and can only stand as a character artiste. It is possible to play a lead role in South Indian films only, he added.

Neeraj Madhav’s series and films on OTT

Neeraj Madhav starred in the lead role of an NRI youth in the Malayalam series Love Under Construction, which also features Aju Varghese and Gouri G. Kishan. He was also seen in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham which is available for streaming on Sony Liv and OTTplay Premium.

The actor was also part of RDX: Robert Dony Xavier, which is considered one of the best action thrillers from Malayalam in recent times. Shane Nigam, and Antony Varghese play the lead roles along with Neeraj in the film, which also featured alongside Babu Antony, Lal, Mahima Nambiar, and Aima Rosmy
