2023 is set to be Shah Rukh Khan's year with not one but multiple high-profile projects slated for release. One of the three is Tamil director Atlee's Jawan which features Khan in a rather intriguing role and to make things better, he will be joined by actors Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi to make for a super formidable central cast. Thereby, for obvious reasons, Jawan's post-theatrical streaming and satellite rights have been bagged for whopping prices with two major studios now brought on board.

Yes, as per the latest reports, Zee TV has joined team Jawan by acquiring the all-India broadcasting or satellite rights of the film. Previously, Netflix had bagged the streaming rights to the film for a massive price of Rs. 120 crores and the combined post-theatrical rights of Jawan (including satellite) have been bought for a total amount of Rs. 250 crores. Reportedly, the final figure stands higher than the budget of the film.

Jawan has steadily piqued the curiosities of the fans since the time of the release of the first look teaser. Thanks to the fact that Shah Rukh Khan joined forces with a team that pre-dominantly belongs to the Tamil film industry (Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer) the project gained further traction and lured all the major streaming and satellite giants as a result.

Vijay Sethupathi, who has become a revelation, of sorts, for the national audience, will play the antagonist in the film with Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra forming the rest of the principal cast. Jawan has been produced by Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

Shah Rukh Khan is currently juggling between the shooting schedules of Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. His first release in 2023 will be Sidharth Anand's Pathaan which hits the big screens on January 25, 2023. Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia.
