Jayam Ravi's Agilan, which is gearing up to hit screens this Friday (March 10), has been censored with U/A certificate. We hear that the board chopped two scenes than 2 spans around two minutes and that some political dialogues were muted. It looks like the film also had a few gory scenes that were removed by the board. The film's final runtime is 2 hours and 15 minutes. Fans are already hoping that they get to see the uncensored version on OTT.

In the meantime, Jayam Ravi's Ponniyin Selvan co-star Karthi is all praise for the film's trailer. He wrote on his social media handle, "#Agilan trailer promises action and intense drama… andha last punch …..that’s your touch Machi @actor_jayamravi (sic)." The actor, who played the calm and measured Arunmozhi Varman in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, seems to have completely gone rogue in this film.

Going by the trailer, it looks like Jayam Ravi plays a criminal who engages in illegal activities and is in control of a harbour which is in the thick of action. It's not that Jayam Ravi is seen in a badass avatar and fans of the actor are excited to see him in the new avatar.

The film is directed by Kalyana Krishnan and the star cast includes Priya Bhavani Shankar as the leading lady, Tanya Ravichandran, Harish Uthaman, Hareesh Peradi, Tarun Arora, Madhusudhan Rao to name a few. Music for the film is by Sam CS. While the cinematography is by Vivek Anand, editing is by N Ganesh Kumar. The film has been bankrolled by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

On the other hand, Jayam Ravi's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan is also gearing up for release on April 28. The team had recently dropped a new poster from the film in which Jayam Ravi was seen amid Buddhist monks. The film is bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
