JioHotstar unveils its Telugu slate for 2026

JioHotstar has been backing original content for a long time, but this time, it has revealed its new Telugu slate for the year 2026. Some of the biggest names from Telugu cinema are making their way to the platform with superb content. From Save the Tigers Season 3 to Varam, here is the detailed list of shows that the platform has announced. Once these shows land on JioHotstar, you can stream them on OTTplay as well.

Save the Tigers Season 3

Save the Tigers was a smash hit on OTT, and not many know that it was also one of the most-watched shows on JioHotstar. Backed by popular director Mahi V Raghav, the makers are back with Season 3. JioHotstar revealed the teaser, featuring the main leads, Priyadarshi, Chaitanya Krishna, and Abhinav Gomatam, who are scared of their wives going all out and partying hard in the new season.

Pradeep Advaitam and Mahi Raghav have created this series, which also stars Pavani Gangireddy and Deviyani Sharma in key roles. The streaming date will be announced soon. If you missed season 1 and 2 stream them here on OTTplay Premium.

Moodu Lantharlu

Moodu Lantharlu is a new comedy series set in the late ’90s. Featuring Sai Kumar, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Karthik Rathnam in key roles, the series is set in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh when the then Chief Minister NTR imposed a liquor ban, creating mayhem. Directed by Gopala Krishna, the series is filled with comedy and eventually turns into a thriller. Sai Kumar will be seen in a crazy role, as per reports. Varam

Varam is a new-age crime thriller about a man who gains a special power and becomes rich overnight. The show explores human tendencies and how one behaves when sudden wealth comes their way. Vishwadev Rachakonda, Shivatmika Rajasekhar, and Srinivasa Avasarala play key roles in this series directed by Aditya. Chiranjeevi's daughter, Sushmita Konidela, has produced the show on a decent budget. The OTT release date and trailer will be released soon.

Vishaka

Kajal Aggarwal makes her Telugu OTT debut with Vishaka, a gritty thriller directed by popular filmmaker Sudheer Varma. BVS Ravi has penned the story, which features Kajal Aggarwal as a mother who goes all out to save her children from danger. The makers have not revealed any visuals and are keeping the series under wraps, but writer Ravi says that this will be Kajal Aggarwal's best work to date.

Vikram on Duty

Vikram on Duty is a cop drama featuring mostly new faces in lead roles. Bigg Boss 8 Telugu winner Nikhil Maliyakkal plays the main lead in this series, which follows the journey of a sincere cop and how he handles a deadly case assigned to him as soon as he joins duty.

Batchmates

Batchmates is a new-age college romance featuring newcomers in lead roles. Made on a shoestring budget, this series promises comedy, romance, and coming-of-age drama. The makers revealed a small glimpse, and it looks fresh with plenty of relatable moments. More details will be out soon.
