Netflix's The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call was released on January 24 with 8 episodes. Starring Ju Ji-hoon as Dr. Baek Kang-hyuk, the plot revolves around a hospital and a group of doctors who become mesmerized after Dr. Baek, a Trauma surgeon joins the hospital. He along with his Trauma team continues to save patients' lives while making a plea to arrange emergency helicopters for critical situations. The series gained global success and now it seems that the show is confirmed to return with seasons 2 and 3.
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call Seasons 2 and 3 are on the cards?
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call writer Lee Nak-jun, who created the original web novel Trauma Center: Golden Hour, confirmed that the show will go on till Season 3. In a recent interview on the YouTube channel Doctor Friends, Lee reflected on the journey and said, "Netflix? At first, I thought it was just a dream."
Teasing multiple seasons for the series, the writer added that when he first hoped that his novel could become a webtoon and eventually a drama back in 2019, it seemed impossible. But then, the rights were sold and the production started in 2023.
Lee said, "If the drama does well, there will be a Season 2. Season 1 hasn't wrapped up its story yet. If viewers are curious about what happens next, they can read my webtoon or web novel. The show was made with Seasons 2 and 3 already in mind."

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call adapts the web novel Trauma Center: Golden Hour by Hansanleega, inspired by the author's experiences as an ENT doctor. The series is a departure from the traditional hospital drama and focuses on the rush to rescue and the camaraderie of a team that knows how to handle critical situations.
The cast includes Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, Ha Young, Yoon Kyung-ho and Jung Jae-kwang. The series is directed by Do-yun Lee.
