Kangana Ranaut on Lock Upp: Making my hosting debut with such a unique reality show has been a huge success in itself

Kangana Ranaut made her OTT and hosting debut with Ekta Kapoor's Lock Upp.

Kangana Ranaut recently made her hosting debut with Lock Upp and now that the show has come to an end, she has stated that her making her debut with such a unique show is a huge success in itself. Lock Upp crossed many milestones and with it, Kangana did too. She made her OTT debut and debut as a host both with Lock Upp.

Kangana told IANS, "Making a debut into hosting with such a unique reality show in itself has been such a huge success." The actress shared that she is overwhelmed with the response that the show has received.

At Lock Upp Badass Finale, Kangana revealed that Lock Upp crossed 500 million mark. The last time the makers revealed, Lock Upp had crossed 50 million mark.

Munawar Faruqui became the rightful winner of Kangana Ranaut’s show. He was the highest voted kaidi and Kangana herself picked him over Payal Rohatgi as the winner of Lock Upp.

Six contestants were fighting for the trophy but since Prince Narula was revealed to never be a kaidi in competition and he chose an AltBalaji show over the trophy, there were five finalists competing for the trophy – Shivam Sharma, Azma Fallah, Payal, Munawar and Anjali Arora. Azma, Shivam and Anjali were evicted respectively, thus leaving Munawar and Payal to compete with each other.

Kangana is a Bollywood actress. She collaborated with her Judgementall Hai Kya producer Ekta Kapoor for Lock Upp.

The actress is currently busy promoting her film Dhaakad. She promoted the film even on her own show. Her co-stars Divya Dutta and Saswata Chatterjee and director Razneesh Ghai made it to the Grand Finale stage with Kangana.

Before ending Lock Upp, Kangana promised that there will be a new season of the show. However, she did not reveal when Lock Upp season 2 will commence.
