Here’s the list of the latest Kannada movies that released on OTT this week.
Last week, two Kannada films dropped on OTT, albeit for audiences outside of India only and on rental mode. One of them, is now available to stream in India, and while it was initially thought that the TVOD model would follow it here too, considering that quite a few Kannada films, off late, have been on the store for rental access, it is available to subscribers for free.

Almost a week after the Kannada sci-fi flick Blink became available to audiences in the UK and USA, it is finally in India too. The film is about a young man called Apurva (Dheekshith Shetty), whose quest to find out the truth behind his father's disappearance throws up some uncomfortable answers. Also starring Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Chaithra J Achar, Vajradheer Jain, among others.

Director KM Chaitanya presented a scene-to-scene remake of the Malayalam film Adi Kapyaare Kootamani. The Kannada version starred Likith Shetty in the lead, along with Amrutha Iyengar. The film marked the Kannada production venture of actress Ann Augustine and Friday Film Factory's Vijay Babu.

Veteran producer K Manju's son Shreyas made his acting debut with this Guru Deshpande directorial. Shreyas played an engineering student with musical aspirations in the film that explored if he is able to follow his passion or not. The film also stars Nishvika Naidu. Paddehuli is already on OTT and now comes to Namma Flix as well in a non-exclusive deal

The second instalment of director Suni's black magic tale, is now on OTT. Released in theatres on April 5, the film follows the attempts of multiple parties to possess the Trishanku mani, which gives the beholder immense powers.

The Malayalam original survival thriller was a massive box office hit and did phenomenally well in Karnataka too. It was often quoted as the film, apart from Premalu, that Kannada audiences were favouring in theatres. Based on a real-life story, Manjummel Boys narrates the daring rescue of someone who fell into a pit at the Guna Caves, from which, it was believed, there was no return. How his friends rallied together and managed to get him out is what the film is all about. While the theatrical outing did not have a Kannada dubbed version, it will be there for the OTT release.

The musical fantasy film explores the origin story of Willy Wonka, the chocolatier in Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It is the third live action film based on this novel, after Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).

Debutant director Santhosh Kodenkeri's Ravike Prasanda, based on a story by his wife Pavana. Led by Geetha Bharathi Bhat, the film's primary plot line follows her character Sanvi, whose attempt to get the blouse of her dreams to catch the attention of the man of her dreams falls flat. The film also stars Sampath Maitreya, Rakesh Maiya, Suman Ranganathan, among others.

Yuva Rajkumar's launchpad, Yuva, directed by Santhosh Ananddram, made its way to free streaming for subscribers. The film had Yuva as a promising wrestler, whose hopes of national glory go up in smoke, when he is suspended on suspicion of fraudulent practice. How he deals with that and a personal tragedy at home, forms the crux of the tale.

Once bitten twice shy is not what Tillu (Siddu Jonnalgada) follows, after having been royally cheated by Radhika (Neha Sshetty) in the first film. This time around, a one-night stand with Lilly (Anupama Parameswaran), has him reeling, when she returns some time later and declares that she is pregnant.

Officially, there are only two options streaming in Kannada and both are dubbed titles - Manjummel Boys on and Wonka. Given the popularity of the former and that Kannada audiences did not get a dubbed version in theatres, Manjummel Boys is, of course, this week's recommendation.
