Kannappa box office collection day 1: Vishnu Manchu's film has taken a decent start, thanks to the presence of Prabhas in a special role. The occupancy is quite good in the Telugu states.

Kannappa is Vishnu Manchu's new film that has caught the attention of one and all. Released on June 27, 2025, the film has lived up to the hype created, though there have been a few mixed reviews. Ever since the bookings opened, tickets have been sold on a solid note, and decent day one numbers were expected.

As per the early updates, Kannappa has made close to Rs 5.5 crore net worldwide. With the complete data yet to be out, the collections on day one could be slightly higher than reported. Kannappa had solid hype, and a majority of the collection has come from the Telugu states.

Released in Hindi and the other South languages, Kannappa has opened well, thanks to the presence of superstar Prabhas. It is only because of him that the film had so much buzz going its way. In the US, too, the film has taken a decent start, and things will get better when the weekend begins.

By the looks of it, Kannappa will make around Rs 13 crore gross on the day of its release. The Hindi version has taken a dull start, and so have the other South versions. Prabhas enters the film in the second half, and from there, Kannappa is emotionally packed with solid performances from Manchu Vishnu and his father, Mohan Babu.

Kannappa OTT platform yet to be locked

Preity Mukhundhan plays the female lead, and she too has a solid role in the narrative. Mukesh Kumar Singh has directed the film, which has been produced by Vishnu Manchu on a massive scale. The OTT rights to the film are yet to be locked, as Manchu Vishnu wants a better deal.

As the film has opened well, Vishnu himself revealed that Kannappa will not be out on OTT for 10 weeks after its release. With no other big film releasing this week, we need to see how Kannappa fares in the days to come. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
