Kantara Chapter 1 net collection

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues to shine with a steady box office collection in the Hindi language. Although it observed a significant dip in the South collection, Rishab Shetty’s magnum opus maintains a consistent performance in Hindi despite facing a stiff competition with Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. Before fading its theatrical fever, the movie emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2025 with Rs 821.50 crore collection as it defeated Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava (Rs 807.91) according to Sacnilk.

On Day 27, Kantara Chapter 1 added Rs 3.80 crore in all the languages. The overall net collection now amounts to Rs 596.65 crore as it inches closer to Rs 600 crore.

Kantara Chapter 1 Hindi collection on Day 27

Kantara Chapter 1 is finally witnessing a major dip in the numbers this week. On the fourth Tuesday, the Kannada blockbuster earned Rs 2.25 crore. However, the collection is far better than the mundane Monday, which minted Rs 1.75 crore. After a stunning Rs 108 crore in the first week, the movie doubled its figures in the consecutive weeks. Kantara Chapter 1 closed Day 27 with Rs 209 crore (early estimates) in the overall Hindi collection.

As per the analysis by industry tracker Sacnilk, Kantara Chapter 1 covered an overall Hindi occupancy of 35.04% in the Hindi language on Day 27 (October 28). It had an occupancy of 12.03% for morning shows, while the afternoon shows had a spike with 32.79%. The night shows observed the highest occupancy of the day with 56.14%.

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara prequel manages to impress fans with its grandeur and layered narrative. Set during the Kadamba dynasty in the fourth century, the movie explores themes of greed, culture, tradition and myth. The story centres around a courageous warrior Berme (Shetty), who joins the mystical divine forces of the eponymous forest to battle the manipulative royal blood (played by Gulshan Devaiah). Princess Kanakavathi is portrayed by Rukmini Vasanth.

Kantara: Chapter 1 is almost on the verge of ending its theatrical run in the coming days. It will then land on Prime Video with its digital debut on October 31 (accessible via OTTplay Premium with a top-up).
