The Kannada film Kantara Chapter 1 is just a couple of days away from its theatrical release. But actor-director Rishab Shetty’s much-anticipated film has already confirmed that it would drop on Amazon Prime Video on October 30. Gulshan Devaiah and Rukmini Vasanth also appear in other key roles in the film, which is the prequel to the 2022 film Kantara, which was a blockbuster hit.

Madharaasi

Sivakarthikeyan leads this 2025 Tamil action thriller film. Madharaasi is about a heartbroken Raghu who finds himself deployed by the NIA for a crucial mission to bust a criminal operation involving the smuggling of guns into Tamil Nadu. Rukmini Vasanth plays the heroine in Madharaasi, along with actors Biju Menon and Vidyut Jammwal. Nivin Pauly has a bunch of exciting projects lined up for release. Before his big theatrical release of Sarvam Maya on Christmas, the Malayalam actor would be making his web series with Pharma which also features Hindi actor Rajit Kapur. The series, which revolves around the pharma industry, was earlier screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

Young stars Hridhu Haroon and Preity Mukhundhan lead this Malayalam film, which adds comedy and action to its romantic tale. The makers of Faizal Faziludeen's directorial will be hoping that the film will draw in more viewers upon its digital debut.

Another movie about young lovers, whose plans to elope after facing resistance from the girl’s family get upended when a criminal lands up in their midst. Comedy, wrapped in chaos, becomes the forte of the film. Narain, Ramzan, Gouri G Kishan, and Babu Antony star in the film along with Varsha Ramesh, Baiju Santhosh, Shabareesh Varma, and others. The film is best noted for its track ‘Onam Mood’, which went viral.

Actor Asif Ali, who was recently seen in Jeethu Joseph’s thriller Mirage, plays a newlywed youth who claims that he has been wrongly accused of domestic abuse by his wife. Anoop Menon leads this Malayalam film, which opened to mixed reviews when it released in theatres in 2024. The film, touted to be a thriller, largely remained unknown. Apart from Anoop Menon, the film also features Lal, Rekha Harindran and Sowmya Rajan.
