We had earlier reported that actor Ravi Mohan, who was recently seen in Parasakthi, will be headlining a political drama titled Karathey Babu. While there have been no updates on the film for a while, the makers dropped the teaser on social media on Saturday. Karathey Babu is set to hit theatres for summer 2026 with a release date to be revealed.

Karathey Babu is an upcoming film starring Ravi Mohan in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Ganesh K Babu, who earlier made Dada with Kavin. The teaser of Karathey Babu was released on Saturday.

The teaser begins with a State Assembly setting where opposing parties debate. One of the politicians accuse the opposition party's deceased leader. Meanwhile we are taken through what seems like a leader's death and the consequences. Various characters of the film are introduced, and last comes Ravi Mohan who is a politician. He is shown to be someone who has a strong hold in his constituency. From the looks of teaser, Karathey Babu appears to be a political drama, with strong emotional and action elements. The film is set to release in theatres sometime in summer this year.
