The plot of Kasaragod Embassy revolves around a fake passport racket, a novel subject for the web series. Two young cousins who get involved in the racket, led by a formidable crime lord. The series will also follow the police probe into the racket and as the cops attempt to crack down the racket. From the racket’s modus operandi to the high-stakes police probe, the series promises to be a thrilling watch. Atish M Nair has directed the series, written by Heeraj PH.

Ensemble cast

Kabir Duhan Singh, best known for his Cyrus role in the violent actioner movie Marco plays the antagonist role. Other noted actors Sudheesh, Deepak Parambol and Rony David, who are familiar faces on the silver screen, are also part of the series. Dinesh Prabhakar, Abu Salim and Govind Pai and Aparna Sreekutty also feature in other key roles.

Another Malayalam thriller series

Malayalam thriller series such as Kerala Crime Files have made an impact among the digital audiences. Fans of thriller series should check out Kasaragod Embassy too, which promises to be a gripping watch. Kasaragod Embassy is only the second Malayalam web series to release this year after Secret Stories: Roslin, a psychological thriller. It is also the third Zee5 original Malayalam series after Kammattam, also a police investigation, and Inspection Bungalow, a horror comedy on cops.

A series set in Kasaragod

Kasaragod, the northern district of Kerala, has a distinct dialect and terrain. It would be interesting to see how the makers would make use of the landscape to narrate the series. This could be the first Malayalam series set in Kasaragod. Even only a handful of Malayalam movies, such as Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam have been set in the district.
