Kattalan bigger than Marco: Kabir Duhan Singh on what to expect Antony Varghese movie | Exclusive

In a recent chat with OTTplay, Marco actor Kabir Duhan Singh spoke about what to expect from Kattalan, his 'surprise' role and more. Kabir was recently seen in the series Kasaragod Embassy.

Actor Kabir Duhan Singh, who shot to fame with the action movie Marco, has back-to-back releases in Malayalam with the series Kasaragod Embassy and the film Kattalan. The actor, known for his villainous avatars, plays a key role in the upcoming Malayalam movie, starring Antony Varghese Pepe. In a recent exclusive chat with OTTplay, Kabir Duhan Singh spoke about what to expect from Kattalan, calling it bigger than the blockbuster hit Marco.

What to expect from Kattalan movie

Kattalan is a 2026 Malayalam movie, directed by debutante Paul George and starring Antony Varghese Pepe of RDX fame in the lead role. Talking about the movie, Kabir Duhan said Kattalan is a purely commercial film well-packaged with action, a lot of emotions, a revenge angle and a dance number.

“It will be a fresh movie. Like Marco was a fresh content for Kerala audience with its hardcore action. Kattalan is purely an entertainment film with action, drama, and performances,” explained the actor, who played Cyrus in the Unni Mukundan-led Marco.

Further upping the scales for Kattalan, Kabir even stated that the upcoming film is bigger than Marco.

“The climax is very big in Kattalan. Bigger than Marco. they have shot in some 10-11 different locations, including in Sri Lanka. The production cost is really high and the team is really big. It is bigger than Marco,” Kabir added confidently.

When OTTplay quizzed Kabir Singh on his role in the Antony Varghese-starrer, Kabir said, “It is a surprise for the audience. People will love my role. They have revealed my look in the teaser.”

Marco actors Jagadish and Siddique are also part of Kattalan along with Tamil actress Dushara Vijayan.

Where to watch Marco

Marco is streaming on Sonly Liv. The 2024 Malayalam film, which starred Unni Mukundan in the titular role. When Marco’s foster brother is killed, he goes on a rampage to hunt down the culprits. Kabir played Cyrus, the foster son of Marco’s enemy Tony Issac. Marco showcased brutal violence, like never before seen on Malayalam screens. Both Marco and Kattalan are produced by Shareef Muhammed.

When is Kattalan releasing

Kattalan is set to release in May 2026. Though initial announcements said May 14, the recent glimpses from the movie just state May without a date. The month of May will see other big releases, including Athiradi, starring Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas and Riya Shibu. There is also Mollywood Times, starring Naslen, on May 14, 2026.
