Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s long-delayed film finally hit the screens, without a theatrical release. The film follows Kennedy, who poses as a cab driver but is in fact a ruthless killer. Through non-linear narrative, the film depicts Kennedy’s past as a ruthless cop Uday Shetty who is now presumed to be dead. Rahul Bhat plays the titular role, while Sunny Leone too makes an impression as Charlie. Anurag Kashyap’s gritty movie, that exposes the rot in our system, deserves to be watched.
Tamil: Lucky The Superstar
The film follows a puppy, which seems to have a positive impact on everyone it meets. A little girl is enamoured by it, while a politician seeks it for dubious means. But the lovable puppy goes missing and now everyone from humans to canines are on the search for it. GV Prakash leads the film, which also features With Love actress Anasawara Rajan. If you are looking for a lighthearted film to watch this weekend, then go for director Uday Mahesh’s film.

Malayalam: Paathirathri
The Malayalam film, directed by Ratheena PT, follows SI Jancy and CPO Harish as they set out on patrolling duty. Navya Nair plays the SI, while Soubin Shahir is seen as the junior cop in the film, which takes a close look at the Kerala police force.
Kannada: Raakshasa
The latest Kannada series delves into a police investigation after some horrifying murders are reported along a river bank in north Karnataka. Locals believe it to be crocodile attacks, while SI Hanmappa sets out to find the truth. Vijay Raghavendra leads this 7-episode series, which is an adaptation of the Tamil series Vilangu.
Telugu: Eesha
A horror film, Four rational friends set out to expose fake godmen. But when they take on Aadhi Dev, he dares the friends to spend three nights in a haunted place. Hebah Patel, Siri Hanumanth, and Akhil Raj star in Eesha, which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video and OTT Play subscribers can also watch the film through a top-up option.
