The much-anticipated promo video of KHxRK the upcoming Tamil film which will see the collaboration of Tamil cinema’s two doyens; Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, is now out! The makers had opted for both a theatrical release as well social media revelation for the project.

KHxRK: What is the promo video showing?

It is after 47 years the superstars of Tamil cinema, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are joining hands for a Tamil film. The stars have aligned, and much to the excitement of fans, the promo video was released on Saturday.

The 3-minute-long teaser begins with Nelson Dilipkumar in a confusion on whom to approach first, as he is interrupted by Anirudh Ravichander. He first enters Kamal Haasan's room. When the latter chooses a suit that Nelson says was chosen by Rajinikanth as well, he changes his option. The same happens in Rajinikanth's room where he chooses a different boot as opposed to Kamal Haasan. The ritual continues for belt and watches as well. Soon, we see Kamal and Rajini coming face to face. They enter a garage together, as we see young woman working on the washing cars. The duo's slow-motion walk takes up most of promo, as they get into a car finally. They are joined by Nelson and Anirudh. At the end, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth ask Nelson who is the hero, before the promo ends on the car speeding away.

What do we know about Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan film?

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan had starred in many films during the time when they were rising actors. But evidently, both of them went on to become successful and have developed their own fan base and style of films. The last film they acted together was the 1979 Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum. Now with the upcoming film, Nelson Dilipkumar has come onboard as director. The filmmaker has earlier worked with Rajinikanth in Jailer and ongoing Jailer 2. Anirudh Ravichander is onboard to score music. The untitled film will be shot by Rajiv Menon, with editor Nirmal R on board. DRK Kiran is the art director.
