The makers of the upcoming road movie Khajuraho Dreams will be hoping Arjun Ashokan’s successful run at the box office will rub off on their movie too. The first look poster from the road movie, which has Arjun, Sreenath Bhasi, Sharafudheen, Dhruvan and Aditi Ravi, was released through the actors’ social media pages on Thursday.

The movie is helmed by debutant Manoj Vaasudev, who had previously worked as Lal Jose’s associate director, and scripted by director-writer Sethu. Khajuraho Dreams was first announced in 2019 with a cast list that also included Samyuktha Menon and Saiju Kurup. The two actors seem to be replaced by Aditi Ravi and Sharafudheen, respectively.

The film revolves around a bunch of friends, who are united by their love for travel. After one of them talks about a ‘magical’ village in Khajuraho, they decide to go on a bike journey from Kochi to Khajuraho via Wayanad, Mysore, Hubli and Nasik.

Khajuraho Dreams will also highlight a prevailing social issue and showcase the various cultures of these States that the group traverses during their journey. Apart from the five lead actors, the film also has Johnny Antony, Bollywood actor Raj Arjan, Sohan Seenulal, Sadiq, Varsha Vishwanath and Naina Sarwar in pivotal roles.

G Chandunadh, who was last seen in Aparna Balamurali’s Ini Utharam, also essays a central character based in the Madhya Pradesh city of Khajuraho in the movie, which has music by Gopi Sundar. Chandunadh is also part of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming action-thriller duology titled Ram, which is set to release during Onam this year.
