To the excitement of Prithviraj Sukumaran's fans, the producers of his forthcoming Malayalam movie Khalifa - The Bloodline have released a teaser today (October 16). On the actor's birthday, the first glimpse of this much-awaited action thriller was made public.

A peek at the police and customs searching for gold smuggling networks operating in the Middle East, Nepal, London, and Kerala is shown in the two-minute-and-fifty-one-second video. After being apprehended by the government, it is soon revealed that Indrans' character, Hamsa, is told that his boss, Aamir Ali, will be killed if he enters India because of the COFEPOSA Act.

In response, Hamza describes Aamir Ali's and his grandpa Ahmed Ali's legacy. He is seen asking the cop if he can apprehend Aamir. Then, against the backdrop of foreign locations, viewers are treated to snippets of violence and intense action scenes. There are also a few flashy chase scenes with Prithviraj in a stylish look as Aamir Ali. The action thriller will be released on the big screen in Onam 2026, the producers have also confirmed.

All about Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa

The movie was announced back in 2022 and is billed as a revenge action thriller. Vysakh is directing this highly-anticipated flick, whose production began in London in August this year. As previously reported, the high-profile movie would be primarily filmed in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, the movie will also have schedules in Kerala and Nepal. Jinu Abraham, who wrote the script for Adam Joan and Kaduva, is the film's screenwriter. The remaining Khalifa cast members are not known and will likely be revealed soon.

Jakes Bejoy has been roped in to score the music, while Jomon T John is the cinematographer and Chaman Chakko has helmed the edit works for Khalifa. The actor's most recent film was, Sarzameen, which is streaming on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium. Another upcoming Malayalam film of Prithviraj is Nobody, directed by Nissam Basheer.
